This Privacy Policy explains how CV Maker – AI ("we", "our", "the App") collects, uses, and protects your information.

1. Information We Collect

Work experience (job titles, company names, descriptions)
Education history (schools, degrees, achievements)
Skills, languages, certifications, hobbies
References and project details
Profile photograph (stored only on your device)
AI-generated or AI-edited resume content

Automatically Collected Information:

Device type, OS version, app version
Anonymous usage analytics (feature usage, crash reports)
Subscription status

Information We Do NOT Collect:

We do not collect passwords or financial information
We do not track your location

2. AI-Powered Features & Third-Party Data Sharing

Our App offers optional AI features including grammar correction, resume optimization, cover letter generation, AI review, translation, and summary generation.

When you use AI features:

Your resume text (such as job titles, descriptions, education details, and skills) is sent to OpenAI (openai.com) via their API for processing.
OpenAI processes this data solely to generate the requested content.
According to OpenAI's API data usage policy, data sent through the API is not used to train their models.
No profile photographs or contact details (phone, email, address) are sent to OpenAI.
You must provide explicit consent before any data is shared with OpenAI. You can withdraw this consent at any time from Settings > AI & Data.

3. How We Use Your Information

To generate, edit, and export your resume/CV
To provide AI-powered content improvements (with your consent)
To process and manage your subscription
To improve app performance and fix bugs

4. Data Storage & Retention

All resume data is stored locally on your device using Apple's built-in storage frameworks.
Resume data is not stored on our servers.
Data sent to OpenAI for AI processing is transmitted securely (HTTPS/TLS) and is not retained by OpenAI after processing, per their API policy.
If you delete the app, all locally stored data is permanently removed.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

Weekly and yearly auto-renewable subscriptions are available.
All payments are processed securely by Apple through the App Store.
We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.

6. Data Security

All data transmission to third-party services uses industry-standard TLS/HTTPS encryption.
Resume data is stored locally on your device and protected by your device's built-in security.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

7. Your Rights

Access: You can view all your data within the app at any time.
Deletion: Delete your data by removing your CV or uninstalling the app.
AI Consent Withdrawal: Revoke AI data sharing consent anytime via Settings > AI & Data.
Contact: Request data information by emailing us.

8. Children's Privacy

This App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
